Drawing from a childhood love of fairies, Charlotte masterfully challenges colonial narratives in existing fairy art and literature by centring a love of Blak people and Country. This is showcased in 30 full-colour illustrations, where the reader is immersed in a world that exists right in our backyards. It is a project that marries culture and imagination, which honours the diversity and beauty of our landscapes and communities.
